Courteney Cox makes fun of her ‘Scream’ bangs, other ‘embarrassing’ hairstyles

Bad hair days come and go, but for Courteney Cox, they unfortunately live on forever.

The actress, 59, took to social media on Tuesday to poke fun at some of her more questionable styles over the years.

In a video posted to Instagram, the “Friends” star can be seen casually petting a dog when one of her pals approaches her to ask what’s going on.

When Cox turns around to tell them about the “construction,” she realizes they’re wearing her face on a sweatshirt — specifically, a shot of her from the movie “Scream,” where the actress is sporting her infamous micro bangs.

“Don’t wear that sweatshirt. The bangs? C’mon, that’s ridiculous,” she says. “It’s embarrassing!”

However, the joke doesn’t stop there. When Cox goes to check on a team of people working in a separate space, she realizes that they’re all wearing sweatshirts representing her worst on-screen ‘dos — including her intense frizzy hair as Monica in “Friends” and her cropped cut from the ‘80s.

When Cox realizes what’s happening, creepy “Twilight Zone” music begins to play in the background. “Oh,” she says quietly before quickly exiting the area before the clip cuts off.

Plenty of fans flooded Cox’s comments ready to purchase the sweatshirts, it appears the designs were made as one-of-a-kind pieces by small creator Audrey Jordan, who posted a behind-the-scenes look on her Instagram.

Clearly, the 59-year-old has no problem poking fun at herself, or admitting to her past beauty blunders.

In 2022, the actress appeared on the “The Drew Barrymore Show” where she spoke about her iconic “Scream 3” cut.

“There was nothing worse,” she said, reflecting on the hair moment that eventually sparked many memes. “That was a big lesson in life because that will forever be on film.”

Recently, Cox revealed other regrets she’s had when altering her appearance — particularly, getting filler.

“It was a total waste of time and I wish I hadn’t caved into the pressure of having it,” she told Woman magazine, calling the choice her “biggest beauty regret.”

At least the star still has the best sense of humor.
