Diplo reacts to Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s divorce after wedding livestream drama

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’ wedding DJ has entered the chat.

Nearly three weeks after they called it quits, Diplo told “Watch What Happens Live” viewers that he hasn’t been in contact with the former couple.

“I wish them all the love because I think they have some children,” the Grammy winner, 44, said on Wednesday, referencing the duo’s two young daughters.

When host Andy Cohen pointed out that Diplo “famously livestreamed” the pair’s Las Vegas nuptials on Instagram in May 2019, he attempted to explain himself.

“Livestream had just started happening,” Diplo recalled. “I was like, ‘This is the perfect opportunity to livestream something.’ I didn’t know it was a secret.”

Diplo clarified that he attended the pair’s “real wedding” in France the following month.

“I DJ’d,” he said. “It was beautiful. I did it for pretty cheap, maybe free. Because I didn’t mean to [cause drama].”

Prior to the ceremony, Jonas had accused Diplo of “ruin[ing]” his and Turner’s post-Billboard Awards wedding in Sin City by broadcasting the event.

“I love Diplo, but he loves his [Instagram] more than a 13-year-old,” the Jonas Brothers member, 34, said during a “Capital Breakfast With Roman Kemp” interview in May 2019. “He posts every five seconds. He literally, like, livestreamed with dog-face filters.”

Diplo subsequently apologized in his “Lonely” music video, which he released in September of that same year, with the song’s intro including a text to the former Disney Channel star.

“Hey Joe.. Sorry for live streaming the most important day of your life that you intended to keep private,” the message read. “Hope we can move past this.”

News broke earlier this month that Jonas and Turner, 27, were heading for divorce. The musician filed in Miami on Sept. 5.

They confirmed their breakup via Instagram the following day, writing that their choice to “amicably end [their] marriage” was a “united decision.”

While the “Game of Thrones” alum hasn’t posted to social media since, she made headlines Tuesday for having dinner with Taylor Swift, one of her estranged husband’s exes.

The “Bad Blood” singer dated Jonas for a few months in 2008. As for Turner, her relationship with the DNCE member began in 2016, followed by a 2017 engagement.
