Filmmaker Shawn Levy, who snagged one of the most coveted seats inside MetLife Stadium last Sunday, revealed what it was like inside Taylor Swift’s star-studded suite.
“[It was] very fun night but … I’ve known famous people, but Taylor is definitely a culture magnet unlike anything I’ve seen,” the “Just Married” director told Variety Friday.
Levy, 55, shared he was invited to watch the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the New York Jets from a private box because Ryan Reynolds, who attended the game alongside his wife and Swift’s BFF Blake Lively, is a “very close friend.”
He has directed the actor, 46, in 2021’s “Free Guy,” 2022’s “The Adam Project” and the upcoming movie “Deadpool 3.”
Levy added that Hugh Jackman, who was also present, is his “other very close friend” and so “Ryan invited Hugh and I to go to the football game.”
The film producer said he had an inkling that other famous people would be attending, but he did not expect the pandemonium that ensued.
“We had a glimmer that maybe there would be others but nothing prepared us for the frenzy of attention that was that outing,” he said.
Levy, who is behind hit projects like “Night at the Museum” and the Netflix series “Strange Things,” added that it is “almost depressing” that most people may know of him due to this outing rather than his work.
“I could make 50 more hit movies and shows and I’ll still be known as the guy in the orange suede jacket going to the Chiefs-Jets game with Taylor and others,” he joked.
Levy also shared that once inside the suite, he was very mindful that people may be watching them at all times due to the famous faces inside the suite.
“If you’re going to a football game in a box with Taylor, you pretty much have to assume that you are on camera all the time and they’re capable of slow motion, so they can definitely read lips,” he said.
Swift’s new beau, Travis Kelce, recently called out the NFL for “overdoing” their coverage on the celebrities who attend their games.
“They are not there to get thrown on the TV,” the Chiefs tight end, 34, said on his “New Heights” podcast this week.
“You never know you get caught throwing down a big old cheeseburger and you look like an idiot. There are certain things you just don’t want to be on TV at all times.”
His brother and co-host, Jason Kelce, then pointed out, “The NFL is not used to celebrities coming to the games. Basketball has it figured out.”
The Philadelphia Eagles center, 35, added, “You show them once, let them know they’re there, maybe after a touchdown, but you can’t go overboard with it. People are there to watch the game.”

Swift, 33, has brought a whole new audience to football ever since her romance with Travis began.
The first time the Grammy winner attended a Chiefs game on Sept. 24 caused a huge commotion online and even led to a 400 percent increase in the sales of Travis’ jersey.
The two-time Super Bowl champ is loving the attention, though, and said in a press conference Friday that he feels like he is “on top of the world” amid his romance with Swift.
A source also recently shared that Travis is “completely smitten” with the pop star, but added that the feeling is also mutual.
“Taylor’s really enjoying getting to know Travis,” an insider told Us Weekly earlier this week. “They’re taking it day by day, but she has high hopes.”
