Caitlyn Jenner proudly used the R-word on Twitter — only to be mercilessly trolled for misspelling it.
The Olympian typed out the slur Wednesday night in response to Donald Trump Jr. complaining that it is no longer “a big part of our vernacular” as it was when he was “growing up.”
“I’ll say it RETARTED!” Jenner boldly replied.
After another social media user pointed out the glaring typo, the former “I Am Cait” star corrected herself.
“Excuse me… RETARDED,” she wrote.
However, that didn’t stop the internet from tearing into Jenner.
“Misspelling that word specifically is so goddamn funny,” one Twitter user wrote.
“Heaux, are you dumb?” another asked.
“Learn how to spell it first, maybe?” a third person responded.
“Perfect. No notes,” one more quipped.
“the jokes really do write themselves,” another follower agreed.

Despite being aware of her error, 74-year-old Jenner did not delete the misspelled tweet from her page. Instead, she joined in on the chorus of trolls making fun of her.
“Omg I immediately respelled it properly 😂😂😂 in the comments,” she wrote in a follow-up post. “epic ironic fail, I get it 😂😂😂.”
The Special Olympics’ website describes the R-word as “a hurtful term that remains prevalent throughout social media,” where “7 in every 10” posts about people with intellectual disabilities “are negative, and 6 in 10 contain a slur.”
The R-word was originally introduced as a medical term in 1961, according to the organization, but federal health, education and labor statutes replaced it with “intellectual disability” after President Barack Obama signed legislation known as Rosa’s Law in 2010.
Jenner’s manager did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
