Elisabeth Moss confirms she’s pregnant with first child after speculation: ‘Really lucky’

Blessed be the fruit.

Elisabeth Moss confirmed news of her pregnancy during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Tuesday night.

“Are you pregnant or just an incredibly committed method actor?” host Jimmy Kimmel, 56, asked Moss as her character becomes pregnant in “The Handmaid’s Tail.”

“A little bit of both,” the “Mad Men” alum quipped, before sharing how her pregnancy has been going.

Moss admitted that she’s been “really lucky” in how she’s handled it so far, adding, “It’s been going really well.”

Moss, 41, went on to ask Kimmel, who has four children, for any advice.

Kimmel recalled a piece of advice comedy legend Bill Murray shared with him and his wife Molly McNearney before the pair welcomed one of their children.

“He said, ‘Bring Christmas lights to hang up [in the delivery room],’” Kimmel shared, adding that Murray also suggested bringing in battery-powered candles.

“Because the lighting is terrible in the room,” he added. “It’s Walmart-style lighting for this blessed event that’s going to happen and you don’t want that.”

“I think that’s a really good list, I like that,” Moss responded.

The two-time Emmy winner did not disclose further details of her pregnancy, including her due date.

Moss fueled pregnancy speculation in December after she was spotted rubbing her belly stomach on the set of her latest project in Los Angeles.

The actress was dressed in an oversized plain gray T-shirt and black sweats and appeared to be in a chipper mood as she laughed and spoke with those around her.

Prior to her outing, the “Invisible Man” star had not been seen in public since she was on location in England filming the FX mini-series “The Veil” in May.

While Moss makes a conscious effort to keep her personal life private, she told Marie Claire UK in 2018 that she hopes to be a mother one day.

“I like the idea of passing on what my mother passed on to me,” she shared at the time. “It’s not for everybody, and I didn’t know if it was going to be for me, but lately, I think it is.”

She shared the same sentiment in 2022, telling You magazine (via Daily Mail) that she “definitely” wants children of her own someday.

“I’ve been very inspired by the kind of mother my mum is,” she noted. “She did a beautiful thing with me.”

Moss has also kept her love life out of the spotlight, and it’s not clear if she’s currently in a relationship.

She was previously married to comedian and actor Fred Armisen for eight months between 2009 and 2010, which she later called “extremely traumatic and awful and horrible.”

She then dated Australian cinematographer Adam Arkapaw between 2012 and 2015.
