Grimes buried the hatchet with Shivon Zilis after claiming on Twitter that she had never been “allowed” to see photos of Zilis and Elon Musk’s twins.
Taking to Musk’s social media platform once again, the “Genesis” performer wrote that she wanted to “de-escalate the narrative” following an onslaught of headlines.
“I spoke with Shivon at length finally, which was long overdue. This wasn’t her fault, plz don’t be angry at her!” Grimes began her missive Sunday night.
“We respect each other a lot and we’re excited to become friends and have the kids grow up together.”
Grimes, 35, also apologized to biographer Walter Isaacson for lashing out at him in response to his tweet that included photos of Musk and Zilis’ twins, Azure and Strider.
“As u can imagine, that was a very gut level reaction to a thing that has been very hard for me. Communication about the twins wasn’t handled super well in the past, but I now totally understand what happened and totally forgive the situation,” continued the singer, who did not dive into the miscommunication that had occurred.
“Women are so often pitted against each other. Speaking with Shivon, it’s very evident she’s an amazing human and we both just want what’s best for our kids,” she wrote.
Grimes also confirmed the birth of her and Musk’s secret third child, Techno, by concluding her message, “I wish I could show u how cute little Techno is 👽 but my priority rn is keeping my babies out of the public eye, Plz respect that at this time 🙏🏻.”
Zilis, 37, responded to the musician, saying it “all ended up for the best.”
“Thank you for taking the time to really connect and understand each other. So glad we had such a wonderful talk, was insanely overdue,” the Neuralink executive wrote.
“You’re a total badass and I respect you very much as well. I can’t wait for kiddo play date and congrats on baby Tau as well!”

Last week, Grimes pleaded with Musk, 52, on Twitter after he seemingly would not allow her to spend time with their son.
It was unclear whether the artist was referring to their firstborn, X, or Techno. The exes also share daughter Y.
“Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer,” Grimes wrote in the since-deleted message.
“I have never even been allowed to see a photo of these children until this moment, despite the situation utterly ripping my family apart.”
Musk, who is a father of 11, and Zilis secretly welcomed their twins in November 2021 following his split from Grimes, though news of the newborns did not surface until eight months later.
