Fans enraged over ‘SNL’ alum Kevin Brennan mocking Matthew Perry’s death

Matthew Perry fans are enraged over a former “SNL” writer’s tweets mocking the late “Friends” star’s death.

Kevin Brennan linked to a news story about Perry’s death and tweeted, “DROWNED IN A HOT TUB. HAHAHAHA.”

He doubled down on his so-called joke in a follow-up tweet denying that he poked fun at Perry’s tragic passing but added, “I just thought it was funny. But I do love it when junkies die.”

Fans flooded the “Misery Loves Company” podcast host’s accounts with responses of disgust and disdain in light of his insensitive commentary.

“Definition of a pathetic attempt to get attention right here. I didn’t know you existed until today and I can see why,” responded one user.

“Going to go forget about you now.. my life will be better for it.”

Kevin Brennan tweeted, “DROWNED IN A HOT TUB. HAHAHAHA,” in response to a news story announcing the tragic news.

“You’re a pathetic little loser of a man,” one Twitter user responded.

Another tweeted, “What the hell is wrong with you? You’re a pathetic little loser of a man.”

Others called Brennan, 63, “disgusting” and “gross” for his tweets while others described him as an “irrelevant hack.”

“I feel bad even giving you the attention you did this for,” wrote another Twitter user. “Funny thing is, if you drowned in a bowl of cereal, you still wouldn’t be a headline. I do however wish to read that headline.”

The “Friends” star was found dead in his jacuzzi Saturday night. He was 54.

Perry was found dead in his jacuzzi Saturday after an apparent drowning. He was 54.

“We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother,” his family told People in a statement Sunday.

A cause of death has yet to be determined.

They concluded, “You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love.”

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner completed the “Fools Rush In” actor’s autopsy Sunday, though the cause of death has been deferred pending toxicology results.

Although Perry who openly spoke about his battle with alcohol and opioid addiction — did not appear to have any illicit drugs on the premises at the time of his death, police sources told TMZ that authorities discovered various prescription pills at his home.

The “Whole Nine Yards” star was survived by his parents and five half-siblings: Caitlin, Emily, Maria, Will and Madeline.
