From Le Labo to Diptyque

Kacey Musgraves is saying goodbye to people who are real good at wasting her time, and hello to a brand new Boy Smells candle. Named after her hotly anticipated new album “Deeper Well,” set to drop in on March 15, the new scent has top notes of saffron, eucalyptus and raspberry and is promising a whole “sound-to-scent interpretation” of the lyrics and themes of its namesake.

Boy Smells, and the singer songwriter, want “Deeper Well” to be additive element to the new album. “As Kacey draws from profound wells of joy and personal experience, the candle is likewise a nourishing scentscape of earthy-gourmand notes: mushroom, beetroot, oakmoss, and damp patchouli reflect a returning to roots—a distillation of what’s essential—as eucalyptus, raspberry, and lavender bring a soft, fresh vitality,” says the Boy Smells press release.

“I’m emerging more centered, grounded, and trusting of myself than ever—and I knew that I wanted to create a multi-sensorial experience that cultivates self-discovery and our connection to the natural world,” Musgraves said via release. “Working with Boy Smells is always a joy—and I truly adore the care, sensitivity, and thought that Matthew [Herman, Co-Founder and Creator of Boy Smells] brings to the process.”

“Deeper Well” marks the second collaboration between Musgraves and Boys Smells, “Slow Burn” (named after her 2018 track) topped the charts and the mantles of just about every fan of country music and good vibes.

Deeper Well (which celebrated its release in New York City) boasts an earthy/gourmond aroma. It’s made of a coconut and beeswax blend with a braided cotton wick. There’s roughly a 50-hour burn on Deeper Well. The candle is currently available on the Boy Smells site.
