Halle Bailey and DDG’s newborn baby boy has already made his music video debut

Halle Bailey and rapper DDG’s newborn son, Halo, made his music video debut hours before the couple announced his birth.

In the music video for “Darryl Freestyle,” which was released Saturday, a short clip shows DDG cradling the little one in a white blanket before the video flashes to another scene.

The “I’m Geekin” rapper — born Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. — also seemingly gave a shoutout to Bailey and their new addition in the lyrics.

“Silver Spoon kid / I know Halo don’t want for nothing,” he raps. “He crying / His mama coming / She’s stronger than Wonder Woman.”

While the cover art for the SoundCloud track features an image of a baby’s face, it’s unclear whether the photo is of the pair’s son.

The “Little Mermaid” star, 23, and the rapper, 26, announced the arrival of their first child Saturday evening.

“even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼✨,” Bailey wrote via Instagram.

“the world is desperate to know you 😉😂♥️.”

The actress included a photo of the baby boy’s hand, showcasing a little gold bracelet on his wrist with the inscription “Halo.”

DDG also shared the news on his own account.

Despite months of fan speculation, Bailey and DDG never confirmed that they were expecting.

The “Color Purple” star even came for those who made comments about her “pregnancy nose,” telling followers to “leave [her] alone.”

Pregnancy rumors first started swirling in September 2023 when Bailey attended the MTV VMAs in a flowing orange dress, which hid her stomach.

“Halle stayed away from the pink carpet so she would not be photographed, and when she was inside, she was very mindful in the way she gave hugs, and who she gave them to,” a source exclusively told Page Six at the time.

“The orange dress flow was an indicator she was trying to hide,” they added. “She would keep her distance when someone got too close, and she gave out more handshakes than her [usual] enduring embraces.”

Bailey’s fit for the event was one of many stomach-concealing outfits she would wear to events in subsequent months.

The “Grown-ish” actress and DDG went Instagram-official in March 2022, before making their red carpet debut three months later.

Reflecting on how the two met, Bailey told Essence in August 2022 that she was “inspired” by the artist.

“I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them. He was one of them,” she shared. “Coincidentally he messaged me — and the rest is history.”
