She’s always been a bathing beauty.
Heidi Klum gave fans a peek at the early days of her modeling career on Instagram Saturday, posting 10 swimsuit pics of herself from 1992 that her mother found in “the basement.”
A smiley 19-year-old Klum poses in a series of one-piece bathing suits in the pics, which were taken to apply for a competition in her native Germany.
“Similarly to how I look at photos and videos of models for [‘Germany’s Next Top Model’], these photos were my application photos for my 1992 modeling competition,” the 50-year-old “AGT” judge wrote, adding, “My mom brought me a box of lots of old pictures from the basement.”
In the first photo, the baby-faced model wears a black swimsuit with a blue-and-yellow stained-glass print as she poses with her arms behind her head, going on to pose in a chair in the same style.
She then dons a white one-piece with black diamonds, hearts, spades and clubs on it as she strikes various poses in the photos, which are pictures of old Polaroids.
Klum — who wears her brown hair in a long, straight style in the snapshots along with minimal makeup — also wears a classic black swimsuit with cutouts at the hip for her modeling pictures.

These days, Klum definitely prefers a bikini (or nothing at all), posing in a variety of tiny string suits and topless pics on Instagram.
The supermodel also loves a lingerie look, having starred in several Intimissimi lingerie campaigns with her daughter, Leni, who is now the same age Klum was in her throwback modeling photos.
The mother/daughter duo returned for another series of ads for the lingerie retailer last week, with both rocking lacy bras and panties from the Italian brand.
Perhaps Heidi can dig up some Halloween throwbacks in her box of pics as we anxiously await her next spooky costume.
