WeWoreWhat founder Danielle Bernstein shared an Instagram tutorial revealing her new secret to getting a “salon blowout at home” on Monday morning, sharing that one of her tried-and-true tools is decades old.
The 31-year-old fashion designer wore a gray bathrobe in the video as she went through her hair routine, captioning the post, “Salon blowout at home, with rollers 💅 disclaimer: this is only my second time ever trying this and I’m excited to perfect it!”
Bernstein started with a $429 Dyson hair dryer, using it to rough dry her hair before sectioning it into two parts.
She then moved on to an old-school Conair brush, sharing, “I’ve been using this brush blow dryer since I was in middle school.”
Although “you have to hold the cool button when you use it,” the tool seemed to be working just fine after 20 years of use, and while the OG model isn’t still available, a similar version of the brand’s Infinitipro 3-in-1Styling Hair Dryer ($32) is available on Amazon for under $35.
After using her affordable Conair brush, Bernstein went on to use a more luxurious product, curling her hair with a $950 Hairbeauron 27D Plus curling iron she described as “pricey but so worth it,” curling her hair under in small sections before pinning all of her curls up in velcro rollers.
Admitting that the look is “hard to do” with long hair, she finished placing all of the rollers around her head and told the camera she was “going to let this sit for like, 10, 15 minutes” to achieve a bouncy blowout.
The influencer directed her followers to “unroll in the direction of the curl” as she removed her rollers, finishing off the look by applying Oribe Gold Lust Hair Oil ($57) and brushing her hair out.
Her Instagram followers were loving the tutorial, like one who wrote, “As someone whose biggest $$$ salon pet peeves is finding a great blowout, you absolutely kill this 💯!!! And your hair is killer gorgeous as well! 😍😍😍.”

Along with her fresh blowout, Bernstein has another reason to add some bounce to her step after revealing that she’s dating a new man in November.
The fashion influencer wrote that she has been seeing new beau Cooper Weisman for “a few months” following her split from longtime boyfriend Anthony Adler this spring, adding she was “so happy and secure.”
It seems like she’ll have plenty of date nights ahead to perfect her latest hair routine.
