Jada Pinkett Smith ‘healing the relationship’ with Will Smith, vows ‘to accept him for the human he is’

Where there’s a Will, there’s a way.

Jada Pinkett Smith said she’s focused on “healing the relationship” with her “life partner” Will Smith, but admits she has to “accept him for the human he is” to be able to do so.

The “Girls Trip” actress, 52, last week revealed that she and the Oscar winner have been separated since 2016 — and even live apart.

“We are in a place now that we are in a deep healing space,” she said on the “Today” show.

“And we are really concentrating on healing the relationship between us… We are working very hard at bringing our relationship together, back to a life partnership.”

Admitting that Will “can’t be his perfect idealized husband,” Pinkett Smith said she has to “be able to accept him for the human he is” for the pair to be able to progress romantically.

“He has to accept me for the human I am. And we want to love each other there,” she added.

The mom of two recently hit the stage at NYC’s Perelman Performing Arts Center with Arianna Huffington to discuss her memoir, “Worthy.”

The “Red Table Talk” creator also cleared up a few things during the chat, including the revelation she and Will have been separated for seven years.

The “Nutty Professor” star told “Extra,” “After the Oscars, we made our way back. I think that piece has been left out of the narrative. I stopped in the book at the Oscars.”

Still, she calls her estranged beau her “life partner” instead of her husband.

“It’s a more expansive definition than what I came into the marriage with around the idea of husband… and I want to just see Will expansively,” she added.

The revelations come days after Pinkett Smith revealed she had considered a legal divorce for the pair, but was ultimately unable to go through with it.

“I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through whatever and I just haven’t been able to break that promise,” she told NBC last week.

She also suggested that she would be open to living with the “I Am Legend” actor again in the future.
