Jennifer Aniston encouraged fans to honor Matthew Perry’s legacy by donating to the late actor’s foundation benefiting addiction awareness.
“For #GivingTuesday please join me and Matty’s family in supporting his foundation – which is working to help those suffering with addiction,” Aniston, 54, wrote in a post to her Instagram Story on Tuesday.
“He would have been grateful for the love,” she added, along with a smiling face emoji surrounded by hearts.
Aniston also shared a post from the Matthew Perry Foundation’s official Instagram account featuring a quote by her late “Friends” co-star: “Addiction is far too powerful for anyone to defeat alone. But together, one day at a time, we can beat it down.”
Aniston included a link to the nonprofit organization, which Perry’s family launched after his death in an apparent drowning on Oct. 28 at the age of 54.
Perry — a recovering addict — was found dead in a hot tub at his Los Angeles-area home. While his official cause of death has yet to be determined, officials reportedly said he did not have fentanyl or meth in his system at the time.
Aniston attended Perry’s funeral on Nov. 3 with their co-stars Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow.
Earlier this month, the “Morning Show” star shared how heartbroken she was over losing Perry.
“Oh boy this one has cut deep… Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before,” she wrote on Instagram.
“We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love. Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deep. And we loved him deeply.”
Aniston also spoke of Perry’s love for making other people laugh and shared how much she admired him and how often they talked.
“Matty, I love you so much and I know you are now completely at peace and out of any pain,” she wrote.
“I talk to you every day… sometimes I can almost hear you saying ‘could you BE any crazier?’ Rest little brother. You always made my day…”
Page Six exclusively reported that Aniston and Cox were taking Perry’s death the hardest.
“Out of the remaining five, Jen and Courteney [Cox] are reeling the most, and Jen is probably the one who is struggling most acutely,” a source said.
The insider added, “It’s a second massive loss in less than a year, with the one-year anniversary of her dad’s death just around the corner. She still hasn’t fully regained her footing from that, and now this has just completely knocked her off her feet.”

Perry’s family issued a statement about his foundation on Monday, telling “Entertainment Tonight,” “It is important to us as a family to honor Matthew’s legacy.”
“The potential that the Matthew Perry Foundation has to help those suffering with this disease is something we are proud to bring to the world,” the family added.
Perry’s stepfather, Keith Morrison, also broke his silence on Monday to ask fans to get involved in the foundation, which the actor dreamed of launching before his death.
“This is not the sort of thing I commonly do, this pitch. But this year is different,” the “Dateline” correspondent tweeted. “Do what you can; he would have been grateful.”
