Jodie Turner-Smith has spoken out about her divorce from Joshua Jackson, saying she’s choosing to see the pair’s split in a positive way.
“Sometimes things we really want to work just don’t end up working. And that’s OK,” the British actress, 37, said in an interview with The Times of London Sunday.
“The most important thing is that you choose what’s healthiest for you and your family and definitely your children.”
Turner-Smith filed for divorce from the 45-year-old “Fatal Attraction” star in October 2023 after nearly four years of marriage.
“I don’t think it’s a failure,” she said of her ill-fated marriage to Jackson. “We obviously had such a beautiful moment together. And now it’s time for a new moment for both of us. And how exciting.”
The model urged people to take a step back and ask if they’re being true to themselves in their relationships.
“If the answer is no, then you have to make a move because I believe that there are visible scars from staying in places that are not good for us. And they don’t just affect us, they affect everybody around us,” she added.
Following the news of their divorce, an insider claimed that Turner-Smith left Jackson because their marriage was “unhealthy.”
“They are on very different paths in life,” the source told People in October. “Jodie loves being a mom. She also loves working.”
Turner-Smith and the “Dawson’s Creek” alum tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed their baby girl, Juno Rose Diana Jackson, the following year.

“It turned into an unhealthy marriage that made her unhappy,” the insider added. “They will co-parent their daughter. They want her to continue to thrive.”
The “Without Remorse” star cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.
Jackson has since reportedly moved on with Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o as the duo was spotted holding hands while taking a romantic stroll back in December.
Turner-Smith, for her part, was spotted walking arm-in-arm with a mystery man in October at the Rande Gerber-hosted Casamigos Halloween Party, however, it’s not known if the pair’s relations are romantic.
