Josh Brolin, 56, wears nothing but underwear for ‘SNL’ hosting gig

Josh Brolin left little to the imagination when he hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the third time over the weekend.

The “Dune” star – who is no stranger to risqué behavior – stripped down to his underwear while delivering the opening monologue, as he took a dip in a cold plunge bath.

“You know I’ve been doing cold plunges for 20 years, right?” Brolin, 56, said as he began removing the rest of his clothes. “And the only thing I can compare this show to is that. I mean, hosting is like jumping into an ice bath.”

The studio audience at 30 Rock cheered on as Brolin stepped into the icy water.

“Scary, it’s exhilarating, your penis is in your stomach. There’s just no way to prepare for it. So what you gotta do is just jump right in,” the actor said enthusiastically.

“Surrender to the discomfort,” he went on, before shouting his “Avengers: Infinity War” character Thanos’ iconic line, “I am inevitable.”

Elsewhere in the monologue, Brolin reflected on hosting the famed sketch comedy show over a decade ago.

“I love being here. You know, it’s been 12 years since I last hosted and I’ve missed this place. I mean so much has changed,” the “No Country For Old Men” star raved.

“The first time I hosted was in 2008, [the] musical guest was someone I’d never heard of before: Adele,” he said of the British songstress, who has since become a 16-time Grammy winner.

This time around, Brolin was joined by musical guest Ariana Grande, who performed two songs from her new album, “Eternal Sunshine.”

The “Into You” singer, 30, stunned in a fitted black dress with a brown coat as she sang “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” and “Imperfect for You” live for the first time.

A few hours before taking the stage, Grande, who has been dating “Wicked” co-star Ethan Slater since her split from ex-husband Dalton Gomez, urged her fans to stop sending “hateful messages” to the “people in [her] life” who may have inspired some of the songs on the new album.

“I just wanted to say anyone that is sending hateful messages to the people in my life based on your interpretation of this album is not supporting me and is absolutely doing the polar opposite of what I would ever encourage (and is also entirely misinterpreting the intention behind the music),” she wrote via her Instagram Story.
