Kim Kardashian branded ‘tone deaf’ after promoting $2.5k body scan

Kim Kardashian has been branded “tone deaf” after she promoted an ultra-expensive full-body scan she described as “life-saving.”

“The Kardashians” star, 42, took to Instagram Tuesday to share a photo of herself posing next to a Prenuvo body scan machine.

Admitting that the machine “really saved some of my friends’ lives,” the mom of four said she underwent a full-body MRI scan that provides early detection of a variety of diseases. 

“The Prenuvo full-body scan has the ability to detect cancer and diseases such as aneurysms in its earliest stages, before symptoms arise,” she captioned her post. “It was like getting a MRI for an hour with no radiation.”

The SKIMS founder said she “wanted to share” the benefits of the technology, adding that the post is “not an ad.”

But the star’s 363 million followers on the platform soon discovered the hefty $2,499 price tag for a single scan, according to Prenuvo’s own website.

It was then that outraged fans rushed to the comments section to slam the reality star over her “tone deaf” post.

“Kim, this is for wealthy people. People can’t afford food right now,” wrote one fan.

While another penned, “This is SO tone deaf. the majority of people in America could not afford to use this machine. The fact that she’s promoting medical devices that cost thousands is so ridiculous.”

“I’m a fan of the Kardashians but Kim shut the f–k up. Most people can’t afford to go to urgent care. This is so f–king tone-deaf,” a third wrote.

“The fact majority of society can’t even afford insurance for a simple wellness checkup,” one follower chimed in.

“Bragging about the ability to have good healthcare is wild 🤨,” another added, with one fan agreeing, “Love a billionaire recommending preventative care that is totally inaccessible to 98% of your fan base, total vibe.”

Kardashian has not responded to the comments.

Her post came just hours after she revealed that she’s been given the all-clear after suffering a nasty injury.

“I broke my shoulder and tore the tendon so I’ve been out of the gym a few weeks but I’m back!” the reality star revealed in an Instagram Story post Monday.
