Lance Bass gives Justin Timberlake update amid Britney Spears book backlash: He ‘will survive’

Lance Bass believes Justin Timberlake will be A-OK despite backlash over Britney Spears’ memoir.

Bass gave a rare update on his fellow *NSYNC member while speaking to People Tuesday.

When asked how Timberlake, 42, is doing amid the recent controversy, the “Frosted Tips” podcast host, 44, said that “all” of his bandmates are “good,” adding, “People will survive.”

While Bass avoided speaking directly to the “SexyBack” singer’s mindset this time around, he told TMZ last month that Spears’ fans should forgive her ex for the bombshells in her book, “The Woman in Me,” just as “Britney did.”

Bass encouraged the Princess of Pop’s devotees to “take a note from her” and “practice a little forgiveness” after she claimed Timberlake had pressured her into an “excruciating” abortion, cheated on her and broke up with her via text during their three-year romance.

“Look, everyone has their own opinion,” he continued at the time. “I feel like the world is so full of hate right now. Everyone deserves to tell their story, she did, and I hope the fans can find some forgiveness.”

The “Out of Sync” author also told the paparazzo that he had purchased a copy of Spears’ bestseller and planned to read it.

While Timberlake has not commented on headlines, he is “not at all happy” with his former flame’s revelations, according to the Daily Mail.

Bass previously told haters to “forgive” the “Mirrors” singer like “Britney did.”

Before the book came out on Oct. 24, an insider told Page Six exclusively that the “Mirrors” crooner was “concerned.”

Timberlake, who recently disabled his Instagram comments, has laid low ever since the memoir hit stores — even leaving for Mexico with his wife, Jessica Biel, and their two sons.

As for Spears, she clarified via Twitter that “The Woman in Me” was not meant to “harp on [her] past experiences.”

After its release, Timberlake fled to Mexico with his family.

“My book’s purpose was not to offend anyone by any means!” the “Crossroads” actress, 41, wrote in a lengthy post. “That was me then … the past is in the past !!!

“Most of the book is from 20 years ago,” Spears, who dated Timberlake from 1999 to 2002, continued. “I have moved on and it’s a beautiful clean slate from here !!!”

Apart from the tumultuous relationship, the tell-all also details Spears’ 13-year conservatorship, her postpartum depression struggles and more.
