Lara Trump’s New Music Career Is Off To A Rocky Start

That wasn’t Lara Trump’s only issue with her country single’s release. An ad for “I Won’t Back Down” featuring Lara wearing a white dress with a jeweled belt and riding a horse was on a billboard in Times Square, but Lara said the ad company only aired the ad once the Trump name was removed from it.

With the release of her single, Lara acknowledged on Sky News Australia she wasn’t a professional singer. She seemed ready to face some judgment about the quality of her version. “I’m sure I’ll get a lot of critique from all the haters out there of my voice and my singing ability,” Lara said. Going by some of the comments on YouTube and X, she was right, with people writing things on X like, “Nobody wants to hear your bad karaoke, victim queen.”

As for why Lara recorded and released the song, it could be that she is trying to get a version that can be played at Donald’s political rallies. In 2020, Tom Petty’s family sent a cease and desist letter to the Trump team after Petty’s version of “I Won’t Back Down” was played at a rally in Oklahoma.
