Leah McSweeney working on exclusive sober dating app, Pillar

Hot and sober? We have just the dating app for you!

Designer and former Bravo star Leah McSweeney is part of a team launching Club Pillar, an exclusive app for teetotalers.

It calls itself the “first sober private members community” and says it “seeks to redefine dating and social experiences for those committed to a sober lifestyle or looking to cut back on drinking.”

The app, known as Pillar, was founded by Jessie Urvater. Instagram/jessieurvater

The app is launching this year and accepting applications now through its Instagram account, @clubpillar.

McSweeney’s an adviser and “creative lead” on the project. It was founded by Jessie Urvater.

Announcing the project on Instagram, the former “Real Housewives of New York City” star wrote, “My sober journey has been long and tumultuous and somewhat public (at least the last 4 years of it). I have experienced first-hand the stigma and judgment surrounding alcohol use disorder but also the stigma surrounding sobriety or choosing NOT to drink.”

The app is set to go live this year and is taking early applications, according to McSweeney Instagram/leahmob

She added that as “the first sober private members community,” Club Pillar “seeks to redefine dating and social experiences for those committed to a sober lifestyle or looking to cut back on drinking.”

McSweeney said that the community will use an invite-only model designed to create “a selective, safe group of members.”

“This is not only for people in recovery but people who just don’t love getting wasted or drinking,” she added.

McSweeney starred on two seasons of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New York City,” where her sobriety became part of the storyline. Leahmob/Instagram

“Club Pillar [is] launching this year [and] has also opened up it’s early applications to get your membership selection process moving before the road to acceptance is corked shut,” she said, adding, “I am so happy to see so many young people joining the sober movement and I am so excited to see what the future holds for sobriety and Club Pillar.”

Meanwhile a source told us the app is “in the pre-seed stage” of funding and that there’s “lots of interest.”
