Lil Kim claims her memoir presales are ‘surpassing’ the Bible

Is the Queen Bee surpassing G-O-D?

Lil Kim claimed that her long-awaited forthcoming memoir, “The Queen Bee,” is exceeding the Bible with just presales alone.

“When we post our presales, we be surpassing the Bible, and that’s crazy,” she said in the clip shared on Instagram.

“And the thing is it’s, like, the Bible. I don’t take that lightly. Y’all already know that.”

The “Lady Marmalade” rapper — born Kimberly Denise Jones — is currently selling eBook presales of her memoir for $14.99, according to publisher Hachette Books.

While it’s unclear if Kim, 49, was being sarcastic, she would have to sell a lot of books to be even close to competing with the sales of the Bible.

Although sales of the Bible have reportedly declined in the last few years, the collection of religious scriptures remains the world’s best-selling book, with more than 150 million copies sold each year.

While the “Crush On You” emcee may not be selling that many copies of her memoir, it is sure to draw fans in as it delves into never-before-heard stories of how Kim broke into the male-dominated rap industry and solidified herself as a prominent female rapper.

“From her earliest rap beginnings growing up in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, and her teenage years spent with the Notorious B.I.G. to her rise as a solo icon, Lil’ Kim not only blazed trails for women in hip-hop, but also inspired the careers of those who followed,” read the book’s description.

The Grammy-winning rapper will also “talk about the hidden moments of her complicated high-profile relationships, the misogynistic industry she fought to change through sex positivity, the challenging double standards of self-image and beauty in the spotlight, and the momentous act of loyalty that ultimately landed her in prison.”

In 2021, Kim announced that she was releasing a memoir, telling People at the time that she was “excited to finally get to tell my story after all this time.”

Over the summer, the “Lighters Up” rapper shared that edits for her book were finished.
