Mama June Shannon taking late daughter Anna’s ashes on family trip to Disney World: report

“Mama” June Shannon is reportedly bringing her late daughter Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell’s remains on a family trip to the happiest place on earth.

Sources close to the reality star’s family told TMZ Saturday that the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” alum planned to spend Christmas in Disney World with her relatives — including Cardwell — and so they are moving forward with their vacation as scheduled despite their recent loss.

Cardwell died on Dec. 9 after a months-long battle with stage 4 adrenal cancer. She was 29.

Some of her ashes will reportedly be placed into a small urn that will be placed at her family’s rental home in Orlando, Fla., so that they “feel like she is there.”

Page Six reached out to Shannon’s rep for confirmation and comment but did not immediately hear back.

Per TMZ, there are no plans to Cardwell to the actual theme park.

However, one of her daughters, Kaitlyn, 11, is reportedly planning on wearing a necklace that contains some of her mother’s remains to the venue.

Cardwell’s sister Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, will also be attending the trip, per sources, as well as her other sibling, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, and her family.

Aside from Kaitlyn, Cardwell’s younger daughter, Kylee, 8, was reportedly also invited, but it’s unclear if she is going on the family-friendly getaway.

The little girl’s father and Cardwell’s ex-husband, Michael Cardwell, is currently suing Shannon for custody of Kaitlyn, who was his stepchild.

He reportedly argued in a recent court filing that he has “fully and completely undertaken a permanent, unequivocal, committed, and responsible parental role” of Kaitlyn.

Michael, who was married to Anna from 2014 to 2017, reportedly alleged he has “engaged in consistent caretaking of the child and established a bonded and dependent relationship with the child.”

He also claimed of Shannon, 44, “June’s presence in the minor child’s life has been inconsistent.”

Anna, for her part, had moved on from that relationship prior to her passing. She secretly married her boyfriend, Eldridge Toney, on March 4 in Wilkinson County, Ga., before losing her battle with cancer.

While the legal war plays out, Shannon and her daughters have continued to mourn the death of Anna.

A poem titled “Broken Chain” posted on the service’s program read in part, “We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you the day God called you home.”

Shannon has confessed she is “emotionally and mentally mind-f–ked” after her eldest daughter’s death.

The “Mama June: From Not to Hot” alum said in a video posted online on Dec. 11, “It’s so quiet in here, the machines aren’t running, [Anna’s] not sitting in here watching cooking shows, and it’s just so quiet.”
