Matthew Perry’s ‘Friends’ co-stars release joint statement on actor’s death: ‘We are all so utterly devastated’

Matthew Perry’s “Friends” co-stars released a joint statement following the sudden death of their beloved castmate.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox and Matt LeBlanc said in a statement to People Monday.

“There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.

They continued, “In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”

Perry played Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom which ran for 10 years before ending in 2004.

An insider exclusively told Page Six Sunday that his castmates are shaken by the news of the actor’s death.

No foul play was suspected, and while police sources later shared with the outlet that they had found various prescription drugs on the premises, no illicit drugs were discovered at the scene.

Some of the prescription medicines found in the home included “anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs and a COPD drug,” according to the outlet.

Perry — who released his memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,” in November 2022 — gushed over Aniston and the rest of his castmates weeks after releasing his book, admitting that he wished they all spent more time together.
