On top of his Grammy-winning music career, David Foster is also a doting dad to six children.
The musician welcomed his first baby, a daughter, at the age of 20 and went on to add four more girls to his family.
In 2021 when Foster was 71, his first son — and his youngest child — was born to wife Katharine McPhee.
The “American Idol” alum said on the “Jennifer Hudson Show” in January 2023 that she “would love” to have another baby with her husband.
“We’re not in any crazy rush, but I hope so because I love being a mom,” McPhee gushed at the time. “I really love it.”

Allison Jones Foster
David and his ex-girlfriend, whose identity he has not revealed, placed daughter Allison for adoption in April 1970.
Allison and her biological father reconnected when she was 30 and have since maintained their relationship.
The Concordia University of Edmonton grad has been married to Bret Jones since August 1996, and the couple share two sons.
Amy Skylark Foster
One year after marrying his first wife, Bonnie Jean “B.J.” Cook, in 1972, the couple welcomed a baby girl named Amy.
The songwriter has followed in her dad’s musical footsteps. While she is best known for her collaborations with Michael Bublé, she has worked with Blake Shelton and Destiny’s Child. She also authored a sci-fi trilogy series.
As for her love life, Amy has been married twice to Simon Gillies and Matthew Freeman. She shares daughters Mikaela and Eva with the former, as well as son Vaughn with the latter.
Sara Christine Foster
David finalized his divorce from Cook in 1981, moving on with Rebecca Dyer the following year. The former couple welcomed three daughters before their 1986 split.
Sara, their eldest, was born in February 1981. She is an actress known for playing Jen Clark on “90210.”
In 2010, the “Big Bounce” star got engaged to tennis player Tommy Haas, with whom she shares daughters Valentina and Josephine.
Sara opened up about her “deep … resentment” of David in a 2019 “Sibling Revelry” podcast episode, referencing the “emotional turmoil” she experienced when her parents split and her father married Linda Thompson.
“Our dad was raising other children,” Sara recalled of Thompson’s sons, Brody Jenner and Brandon Jenner. “He wasn’t raising us. That was the thing that kept me up at night.”
However, she appears to have mended the dynamic and often gushes about David’s relationship with McPhee.
Erin Taylor Foster
Sara became a big sister in August 1982 when Erin arrived. The siblings have embarked on numerous projects together over the years, from creating “Barely Famous” to acting as Bumble’s creative heads.

In December 2019, Erin married husband Simon Tikhman in a New Year’s Eve ceremony. David walked her down the aisle.
The couple started dating in 2018 and got engaged the following year.
Jordan Foster
David and Dyer’s youngest child, Jordan, was born in September 1985.
While Jordan has dabbled in acting and music over the years, she primarily works as a stylist. She is also the Style Director for Sara and Erin’s Favorite Daughter brand.
Jordan has been married to Tomas Woodger since July 2013. The couple are the parents of son Otto and daughter Juni.
Rennie David Foster
After David’s marriages to Linda Thompson and Yolanda Hadid ended in 2005 and 2017, respectively, the record producer moved on with McPhee.
One year after the pair’s June 2019 wedding in London, news broke of the singer’s pregnancy. Rennie arrived in February 2021.
The little one’s moniker is “an old family name,” McPhee told “Today” show viewers the following month.
David spoke to People in January 2023 about being an older dad to Rennie, saying he can offer the little one “wisdom.”
“Even though I won’t be around when he’s 50 or 40 even, or 30 maybe … that’s not a bad trade off,” he said. “I hope so.”
He went on to say parenting in his 70s is “different,” explaining, “I still work, I’m still gone a lot, but maybe the time is a little more precious to me because I got more runway behind me than I have ahead of me now.”
