Who doesn’t love some birthday bling?
Nelly celebrated reuniting with his on-again girlfriend Ashanti with some seriously sparkly gifts in videos posted by The Shade Room on Instagram Sunday — and she appeared to be blown away by his generous 43rd birthday surprise.
The “Hot in Herre” rapper, 48, wowed his lady love with a huge diamond necklace in the first clip as she held her hands over her mouth in shock.
A group of friends cheered and one quipped “where my glasses?” about the pricey piece as the couple — who collaborated on the 2008 song “Body on Me” — shared a sweet hug and kiss.
The enormous diamond necklace with heart accents sat inside what appears to be a red Cartier box, with an onlooker taking it out and helping to place it around the “Foolish” singer’s neck.
In another video, Ashanti — who is dressed casually in a black tank top and coordinating leggings — opens up a diamond-encrusted watch, still covering her mouth over the extravagant birthday gifts.
“His and hers!” a female friend is heard exclaiming off camera, with Nelly laughing as he holds up his wrist to show off a similarly blinged-out watch.
Nelly — who dated Ashanti for close to 10 years before they split in 2013 —confirmed he’d reignited his relationship with Ashanti in an interview last month after months of romance rumors.
“It wasn’t anything that I don’t think was planned,” he added, explaining that “sometimes being separate you understand one another more.”
Nelly continued that he “felt like both of us were doing what we were doing before career-wise, and when you got so many people in the middle of it, it can be tough,” adding their romance had “no pressure” now.
Ashanti honored her boyfriend with a different accessory, hitting the 2023 VMAs red carpet last month holding a clutch featuring a throwback photo of the couple.
While they just recently got back together, plenty of fans weighed in on The Shade Room’s post expressing their hopes to see Nelly pop the question soon.
“Put a ring on it next please,” one wrote, while another added, “WHERE IS HER RINGGGGG for goodness sakes! These men will necklace & bracelet you to death kmt.”

Along with the (ringless) gifts, Nelly also paid an Instagram tribute to his girlfriend, posting a montage of photos and videos with Ashanti as he wrote, “One time for the birthday girl…. Such a beautiful, an incredible person inside and out and one of the hardest working women. I know.. @ashanti.”
He wrapped up his sweet post by adding, “Enjoy your day Ma you look awesome!!!! Happy Birthday Love ya!!!!”
Perhaps Nelly will slip a ring under Ashanti’s Christmas tree this year.
