Oprah Winfrey broke her purple streak at the 2024 Grammys Sunday night, showing off her svelte figure in a black sequined two-piece look after rocking one violet-hued look after the next over the past few months.
While she skipped the red carpet, the media mogul — who turned 70 this week — looked incredible in her short, form-fitting top and matching skirt as she got into the groove in the audience.
Winfrey danced enthusiastically to Miley Cyrus’ performance of “Flowers,” belting out the words in her glittering long-sleeved style, which she wore just slightly unzipped to show off her décolleté.
She accessorized with dangling diamond earrings, wearing her hair slicked back in a super-long high ponytail to better show off the statement gems.
She sat with BFF Gayle King, who wore a similarly sparkly pale green look to the Grammys, sporting a low-cut jumpsuit and matching jacket.
The TV personality will pay tribute to Tina Turner and introduce Fantasia Barrino’s performance at Sunday’s show, which is once again being hosted by Trevor Noah.
Oprah has been showing off a series of ultra-glam looks over the past few months as she promoted “The Color Purple,” wearing a variety of pieces in shades of lavender, amethyst and violet.

Winfrey wowed in a tight purple Dolce & Gabbana gown at the Academy Museum Gala, rocked a pale lavender suit while out in NYC and showed a flash of stomach in a flashy violet trouser suit at a screening for “The Color Purple” last year.
She also revealed that she’s been taking a weight loss drug in a December 2023 People article, explaining she takes “it as I feel I need it, as a tool to manage not yo-yoing.”
“The fact that there’s a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for,” she added.
