Kim Kardashian has billed Skims’ latest launch as a “boob job in a bra” — but does it deliver?
The brand’s new Ultimate Bra ($58), which launched August 17, is available in sizes 32A to 44D and 10 core Skims colors, and promises to “completely reinvent the traditional push-up bra” with its soft microfiber fabric and teardrop-shaped foam pads.
Designed using 3D scans and molds of real women’s breasts (including Kardashian’s), the Ultimate Bra claims to create a seamless appearance beneath form-fitting clothing — unlike the push-up bras of yore, infamous for their bulky and shelflike look.
Page Six Style was impressed by Skims’ first big bra launch in 2022, so we ordered a few of the brand’s new push-up style to see if it truly gave us a “total breast transformation” as promised.

How does it fit?
Elana Fishman, Page Six Style Editor: “I got a 32B, which is my usual size, and it fits pretty well. I might have been more comfortable in a 34B — but then again, I wear my bras looser than one should, and tend to keep them until they’re all stretched out. On Skims’ site, it advises that you go up a band size if you’re in between two, which I think is a wise recommendation.”
Taylor Valentine, Page Six Lead Video Editor & Producer: “I ordered a 36D, and I love the way that it fits. I’m not pouring out of it. If I had gone down to a 34D, I think it would’ve been giving spillage.”
Asia Grace, New York Post Features Reporter: “I am in a 38D, and the fit’s pretty good; I’m typically either a 38D or a 36D. They’re lifted, they’re doing their thing, they’re standing at attention.”
How does it look?
Fishman: “As a proud member of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee, I’m not used to having much in the way of cleavage, and this bra definitely gives me a boost. But it’s not shelflike and it doesn’t feel bulky. I was envisioning more of an ah-ooh-ga effect, super dramatic and in-your-face, but it’s a pretty natural look.”
Valentine: “I have to say: Every time Skims comes out with something new, I want to be a hater and I can’t, because it just makes you look good! Kim knows what she’s doing. This feels good, and it looks good.”
Grace: “To paraphrase a very wise New Yorker: They’re up and they’re stuck.”
Is it comfortable?
Fishman: “‘Comfortable bra’ is an oxymoron, if you ask me, but this one’s not bad. I definitely feel supported, and I like how the fabric feels against my skin.”
Valentine: “Honestly, I feel like I’m wearing nothing. I love the material that Skims uses; it’s super buttery soft.”
Grace: “I’d rather not be in a bra at all, if I’m being completely honest, but this is a nice bra. It feels good on my body, it feels good to the touch, so no complaints here. It’s definitely worth keeping in rotation and when I do wear a bra, this will be up for consideration.”
How does it compare to other push-up bras?
Fishman: “Amazingly, I have never worn a push-up bra before — this is my first — so I can’t really speak to how it compares to others on the market. That said, I would wear this one! I probably wouldn’t replace my everyday lightly lined bra with it, but I could see myself pulling it out for a special occasion.”
Valentine: “I normally don’t wear a lot of push-up bras, but the ones I’ve had in the past were not working for me; they were giving spillage. But I think the cut of this one is really good; it gives me some extra coverage. I would have to say this is one of the best push-up bras I’ve tried.”
Grace: “I’ve had other push-up bras in the past, and they [pushed my boobs] up under my chin like pillows at summer camp. This one is good because it’s giving the lift, but not too much. I’m very particular about my bras, because these are some of the hardest-working ladies in the business. I’m gonna let them shine, and this bra definitely lets them shine.”
