Patrick Mahomes voiced his support for teammate and pal Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl.
“He’s enjoying it,” Mahomes shared at a press conference during the Super Bowl LVIII Opening Night event at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
“He’s enjoying just being able to be in a great relationship and then also being able to play great football as well.”
The Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback admitted it has been “cool” not only to witness the couple’s romance but also to be “a little bit a part of it.”
“It’s been a heck of a season, a heck of a run, and I’m glad that he’s [as] happy as he is,” Mahomes told reporters.
While some might be frustrated by the “Anti-Hero” singer’s presence at games — or the fact that reporters are asking athletes about her — Mahomes was all too happy to give her her flowers.
“She just won album of the year, man, so you gotta get some Swiftie questions,” Mahomes, 28, quipped.
Swift took home her 13th and 14th Grammy Awards Sunday night and even made history as the first artist ever to win Album of the Year four times.

While she shocked fans by announcing a completely new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” during the award show, she also noticeably opted not to thank the tight end during her speeches.
Kelce, 34, didn’t seem to mind because he gushed over her big wins at the Grammys.
“She’s unbelievable, she’s rewriting the history books herself,” the NFL star said Monday night.
“I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and bring some hardware too.”
Kelce also lauded Swift, 34, for bringing even more fans to the NFL.
“Taylor has an unbelievable fan base that follows her and supports her throughout her life,” he shared, “and it’s been fun to gather the Swifties and the Chiefs Kingdom and open them to the football world and sports world and it’s been cool to just experience that.”
The “Love Story” singer will fly to Sin City after her performance in Tokyo to support the Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers.
