Patrick Schwarzenegger and Abby Champion are engaged!
The longtime couple, who have been dating for 8 years, announced the news via a joint Instagram post on Tuesday.
“💍❤️FOREVER AND EVER ❤️💍,” they wrote, alongside a series of photos that included the two of them at the beach with a giant heart made out of roses, and posing with a cake that read “Congratulations.”
They also shared a sweet photo of Schwarzenegger giving Champion a kiss while she showed off her ring.
Shortly after the news was announced, celebrity friends flooded the comments section of Schwarzenegger and Champion’s joint post.
“I CAN NOW DIE HAPPY,” wrote Taylor Lautner.
“Congrats, you two!!! 😍,” noted Chelsea Handler.
And even Schwarzenegger’s mom, Maria Shriver, chimed in.
“Yippee bravo we are all so happy for you for your love for your now for your future your love is inspiring joy joy joy ❤️,” she wrote.
Schwarzenegger, 30, — the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Shriver — and Champion, 26, were first linked in September 2015.
The couple didn’t become Instagram official until February 2016.
Over the years, they have posted loving photos of one another.
Champion wished Schwarzenegger a happy birthday in September calling him her “sweet, handsome, hardworking and goofy boyfriend.”

Back in 2021, he lovingly reminisced about their first date, complimenting her unusual food choices. “I knew we would hit it off from the moment we had our first date & you ordered off the kids menu!!” he wrote on Instagram in 2021 for Champion’s 24th birthday.
He also called her his “BESTTT FRIENNDD.”
In Feb. 2022, Schwarzenegger celebrated his gal’s birthday by sharing snaps of them.
“HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY @abbychampion,” he wrote alongside the images. “LOVE THIS GIRL SO MUCH!! SUCH A HARD WORKER. SO BEAUTIFUL. FAITHFUL. DRINKS 2 CUPS OF COFFEE! LOVES ICE CREAM. LOVES HER SUGARY COCKTAILS. LOVES JESUS & AMERICA TOO.
“CANT WAIT TILL YOUR BACK IN TOWN.”
The two have occasionally worked together, starring in the Fall 2019 Calvin Klein Jeans campaign and appearing in a Vogue fashion shoot in November 2022.
Champion will be joining a tight-knit bunch.
Last year “The Staircase” actor told Page Six exclusively that his family is “extremely close.”
“We have Sunday dinners at [Shriver’s] house every week. My mom, she’s my everything,”
Schwarzenegger is the second of his siblings to tie the knot.
His older sister, Katherine, is married to “Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt, with whom she shares two daughters.
