Ellen DeGeneres rang in her 66th birthday Friday with an intense sweat session in the gym, which her was documented by wife Portia de Rossi on Instagram.
“My darling wife! You continue to amaze me and inspire me,” Rossi, 50, gushed.
“Happy Birthday to the strongest, sweetest, most brilliant person I know. I’m so lucky to be standing next to you as we share this incredible life together. I love you. 💕.”
The video begins with the former talk show host flexing her muscles with dumbbell shoulder presses.
“Are you saying this is what 66 looks like?” Rossi — who has been married to DeGeneres since 2008 — teased.
The video then jumps to DeGeneres doing single-hand overhead presses, pull-ups and even pushing a training sled.
She certainly felt the love on her birthday, as her celebrity friends made sure to send her some social media love, including Kris Jenner, TV personality Kym Douglas, author Jay Shetty, and some guests she had on her talk show over the years.
“Happy happiest birthday to my BFF @ellendegeneres!! You are an amazing chicken wrangler, wife, friend, sister, daughter, and pickle ball champion!” Jenner, 68, penned alongside a carousel of pics and videos with DeGeneres over the years.
“You are so kind, thoughtful, caring, FUNNY, generous, smart, creative, and oh so talented… and you really know your way around a re-model.”
She concluded, “I am so blessed to have you in my life and I love you madly.”
The birthday girl seemed to have a fun day outside of the gym and numerous celebratory wishes as well, as she took to her Instagram feed Friday evening to share images of her pickleball-themed cake.
“It was a wonderful birthday. Thank you everyone for your sweet wishes and especially, my wife. 🤍,” she captioned the post.
DeGeneres also took to her ‘gram to share a video of herself playing pickleball against Orlando Bloom.
“All I want for my birthday is to beat Orlando Bloom at pickleball. #OrlandoBloom,” she wrote.
She didn’t appear to win.
Perhaps she will have better luck on her 67th trip around the sun.
