Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg is pregnant, expecting her first child with Nicolas Bagory

The Royal Family of Luxembourg is celebrating.

On Monday, the Court of Luxembourg announced that Princess Alexandra, 32, and her husband, Nicolas Bagory, 35, are expecting their first child this spring.

“Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess are delighted to announce that Princess Alexandra and Mister Nicolas Bagory are expecting their first child.

“Birth is scheduled for spring.

“The Grand Duke, the Grand Duchess as well as the members of the two families join in this great happiness,” read a statement on Instagram.

Alexandra’s parents, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa share five children, with Alexandra being their only daughter.

She was born in 1991 and holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in interreligious studies from the Irish School of Ecumenics at Trinity College.

She also spent some time studying in the United States at the University of Steubenville and did an internship at the United Nations.

The royal is fluent in several languages including French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, and Luxembourgish.

She married Bagory, who studied political science and the classics, in April 2023 in Luxembourg. A religious ceremony occurred a week later in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France.

Through her father, Alexandra, is related to many European royal families, which include; Belgium, Sweden, The Netherlands, Lichtenstein, Spain, and Portugal.

The princess is also an active working member of the Grand Ducal Royal Family and has represented the tiny country on many occasions including the Olympics and official visits to the Vatican.

She even received and hosted, Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales during a visit in May 2017.

The baby will be the eighth grandchild of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa.
