Rachel Lindsay said she, estranged husband Bryan Abasolo were living ‘different lives’ before divorce

Rachel Lindsay alluded to marital troubles with Bryan Abasolo just weeks before he filed for divorce.

The former “Bachelorette” appeared on the Dec. 21 episode of “The Viall Files” podcast and told host Nick Viall that she and her now-estranged husband were living “totally different lives.”

“Bryan is a sole practitioner [and] he leaves the house at 8. He comes home at 9 o’clock, 9:30 [at night] sometimes. It’s just him by himself,” Lindsay explained of his schedule.

“Me, especially now that I’m not doing ‘Extra,’ I have a lot more free time… and then I’m back in hustle mode trying to get a second job, so I go to events,” Lindsay said.

“So, we’re just in two totally different places.”

The former reality star said there wasn’t “a lot of time” to “take pictures of each other” but also admitted that she didn’t want to necessarily flaunt their relationship.

“I just [was like], ‘I want to keep this for ourselves’ and, you know, marriage has ups and downs, but you never know when we’re good or when we’re not because we never put it out there,” she said during the episode.

“I kind of want to keep it that way, so when I want to share something, I do.”

She also shared that she and the chiropractor realized they don’t get along when they try to have some overlap in their jobs.

“We don’t and we learned that! You gotta protect the marriage and we just don’t work well together,” Lindsay, 38, shared. “Not every couple can do that.”

On top of the ups and downs she and Abasolo were experiencing, she also admitted they were struggling to have a kid.

Lindsay and Abasolo, 43, first met on season 13 of “The Bachelorette” back in 2017 and became engaged after she turned down Peter Krause.

Abasolo filed to end the marriage Tuesday and listed New Year’s Eve as the date of separation. He cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split and is requesting spousal support.

“After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew,” he shared in a statement.

“My parents have been married forever and I’m a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go.”
