Restaurant in ‘Friends’ building packed with diners paying homage to Matthew Perry

With the recent passing of actor Matthew Perry, West Village eatery Little Owl has been packed as Perry’s fans pay homage to the star.

The hip restaurant is located below the apartment building where Perry’s hit show, “Friends,” was set.

“People have been coming to the location to show their respect and laying out flowers and candles. While they are there, they decide to stop for a bite,” said a local.

“A lot of tourists have especially been busy stopping by,” said a resident.

Perry, 54, was found dead at his California home in his hot tub after reportedly drowning.

Sources told TMZ that first responders rushed to his Los Angeles address after receiving a call about an apparent cardiac arrest.

The insider added: “The business is great for the establishment. I just hope it does not become a problem for me to get a table especially for brunch and dinner.”

It’s not the first time that the eatery has been overrun with “Friends” fans — and the establishment wasn’t always happy about the masses arriving at the famed building.

For the show’s 25th anniversary in 2019, The Post reported that hordes of fans were descending upon the Greenwich Village building that was “home” to the show’s characters, and blocking the sidewalks in front of Little Owl as they snapped selfies and even defaced walls with tributes.

The hit series “Friends” ran for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004.

The restaurant’s owner estimated at the time, “I would say it’s hundreds [of people]… Over the weekends, it’s closer to 1,000.”

Back then, the show’s rabid fans even were asking the restaurant’s staff for Sharpies, The Post reported, to write messages outside on its wall.

Perry starred in the sitcom with Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004.
