Savannah Chrisley’s ex Nic Kerdiles had alcohol in his system at the time of motorcycle death

Savannah Chrisley’s ex-fiancé, Nic Kerdiles, had alcohol in his system at the time of his fatal motorcycle crash in September.

Toxicology reports obtained by TMZ indicate that Kerdiles’ blood alcohol content was around 0.124 — well over the legal limit — when he died.

The medical examiner ruled Kerdiles’ death as accidental and listed blunt traumatic injuries as his official cause of death, per the outlet.

The former hockey player hit another vehicle after flying past a stop sign while riding his motorcycle late at night, resulting in multiple broken bones, bruising of the brain and other abrasions.

According to TMZ, his blood alcohol content was well above the legal limit.

Just hours before the accident, the 29-year-old posted an eerie photo of himself on the motorcycle captioned, “Night rider.”

Chrisley, who was engaged to the former athlete from 2018 to 2020, paid tribute to Kerdiles that same day.

“I’m still hoping you respond to my text,” the 26-year-old wrote via her Instagram Story alongside a boomerang of the exes kissing.

“Heaven gained the most beautiful angel today. I miss you and I love you…I’ll forever save our messages of ‘I love you’….”

Chrisley then asked Kerdiles to “send [her] a sign” that he is “ok.”

A month later, the “Chrisley Knows Best” alum revealed that her ex had, in fact, “given [her] some signs” — though she didn’t divulge what they were.

“I just know that he would want everyone to live life to the fullest, because that’s exactly what he did,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “He’s just an amazing human being. You have to remember those things for sure.”

Although she has tried her best to move on, she admitted that there are still days when she is overcome with emotion.

After his death, the reality TV star posted an emotional tribute on social media.

“It’s been such a really sad, unfortunate situation that’s tough to navigate,” she continued. “It’s confusing. It’s sad. There’s anger and tears and all the things associated with it.”

Kerdiles began dating Chrisley in 2017 and popped the question with cameras rolling just one year later.

However, the two decided to postpone their wedding in 2020 because “things moved way too fast.” They parted ways for good just three months later.

“I miss you and I love you…I’ll forever save our messages of ‘I love you’….” she wrote at the time.

Two years after their split, Kerdiles attempted suicide while on a combination of pills following a COVID-19 diagnosis — and Chrisley was there to support him in the aftermath.

“I don’t know where I was at in my mental state, but between the depression, anxiety, the COVID effects, the medication, the alcohol, I did something that I never thought I would ever do,” the former pro hockey player said in a video alongside his ex-fiancée.

“I’m super grateful to be here today,” Kerdiles added.
