Shocked Salma Hayek reminisces on ‘special bond’ with ‘Fools Rush In’ co-star Matthew Perry after his death

Salma Hayek remembered the “special bond” she shared with Matthew Perry days after his death.

The actress took to Instagram Monday to post a series of throwback snaps with her “Fools Rush In” co-star, recalling how he referred to their 1997 film as “his best movie.”

“Two days ago, I woke up to the shocking news that Matthew Perry is no longer with us,” she wrote. “It’s taken me a couple of days to process this profound sadness.

“There is a special bond that happens when you share dreams with someone, and together you work towards them,” Hayek continued.

“I was very moved last year when Matthew shared on his Instagram stories how much he loved ‘Fools Rush In,’ and how he thought that that film we did together was probably his best movie.”

According to TMZ, first responders rushed to the actor’s home in Los Angeles’ Pacific Palisades neighborhood after they received a call from his assistant about a cardiac arrest.

While no illicit drugs were found in his home, there were multiple prescription drugs in the house, per the outlet.

Before his death, Perry was open about his addiction to alcohol and drugs, including during his time starring on “Friends” from 1994 to 2004.

His main co-stars from the sitcom — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow — have yet to speak out on his sudden death and said to be “reeling” from the heartbreaking news.

“The cast is reeling from the loss of their brother, because that’s what Matty was — their brother,” an insider told Page Six Sunday. “It’s just devastating.”

Meanwhile, Schwimmer was spotted leaving his New York City home on Monday while keeping a low profile.
