Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge are going to be parents.
The model revealed to Vogue on Thursday that she is pregnant with the couple’s first baby, a girl.
Richie, who is about six months along, told the mag she kept the news under wraps to “protect” her space.
“Pregnancy is really scary,” she explained. “I didn’t realize there are so many milestones you have to hit and so many tests you have to take. For me, it was really important to protect our mental health and our space as a couple.”
Richie said both she and Grainge were shocked to learn they are having a daughter.
“We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a true shock,” the 25-year-old recalled. “My dream in life is to have a daughter [though], and Elliot is really excited for a girl, too.”
The model has been keeping her bump covered with large coats and bulky sweaters, but is looking forward to having fun with her wardrobe now that the news is out.
“Now that we’re announcing it, I have so many ideas,” she said, adding, “I’m about to have some fun with it now that I can spread my wings and fly.”
Richie and Grainge, 30, went public with their relationship in early 2021.
The couple “started off as friends,” the fashion designer explained to Who What Wear in an August interview.
“When we started being romantic, he just gave me a different feeling,” Lionel Richie’s daughter recalled. “It was a feeling of safety. It was the feeling of really being appreciated. I knew when we started dating that he was my husband.”
The music executive got down on one knee in April 2022, with the fashion designer debuting her engagement ring via Instagram.
“Forever isn’t long enough,” Sofia gushed in her celebratory post.
The duo walked down the aisle one year later, tying the knot in France with Paris Hilton, Cameron Diaz and more A-list guests.
The bride stunned at the April ceremony in a custom Chanel gown.
Before Sofia’s relationship with Grainge, she was often in the headlines for her three-year romance with “Kardashians” star Scott Disick.
Sofia was frequently photographed with Disick and Kourtney Kardashian’s three children — Mason, Penelope and Reign — before she and the Talentless creator called it quits in 2020.

While Lionel, 74, expressed his reservations about Sofia’s connection with Disick when they were together, the “American Idol” judge recently told Access Hollywood that Grainge has his stamp of approval.
“I love Elliot,” Lionel gushed in April. “I’ve known him since he was 12 … It was one of those things where I don’t have to go back and check out the kid. I know who it is.”
Even so, Lionel felt like Elliot was “going to faint” when he called to ask the “All Night Long” singer for Sofia’s hand in marriage.
“I thought he was going to pass out, but he survived it,” Lionel joked. “They’re deeply in love, so all I can say is, that’s what you really want as a dad.”
