Despite many fans believing Taylor Swift debuted a drastic haircut at the world premiere of her “Eras Tour” concert film Wednesday night, the singer was simply sporting a faux bob.
“taylor looked STUNNING last night but omg the heart attack i had when i woke up and saw the short hair,” one Swiftie tweeted Thursday morning. “thought she had a haircut at first.”
Another admitted to “crying” over the 33-year-old’s seemingly shorter style.
A third asked, “how did taylor do that faux bob like where did all her hair go lol?”
Others praised the “cute” look, with one opining, “taylor’s curly pinned up faux bob >>>>>>> taylor’s short hair.”
An excited social media user gushed, “the scream i scrempt when i saw her hair oh my god taylor dont do things like this to me AGHHHHH faux f–kass bob is BACKKKKKK.”
Swift, who has previously faked a haircut for the 2013 MTV VMAs and more events over the years, paired the curly style with her signature red lip.
The Grammy winner matched her blue eye makeup to her floral Oscar de la Renta gown, which featured a strapless neckline and cutouts.
Although Swift’s surprise appearance at The Grove in Los Angeles did not include Travis Kelce, her rumored beau, other celebs joined the 2,000-plus fans in showing their support.
The pop star specifically thanked Beyoncé for attending after posing with the former Destiny’s Child member, 42, on the red carpet.

“I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence,” Swift wrote via Instagram, praising Beyoncé’s “generosity of spirit … resilience and versatility.”
She added, “She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale.”
In the social media upload, the duo shared popcorn in an empty theater.
Swift and Beyoncé, 42, kicked off their respective Eras and “Renaissance” tours earlier this year. While the latter has wrapped, Swift will continue to hit the road through November 2024.
