Taylor Swift arrived at the 2024 Grammys in full glam – and with a game plan.
After being caught gossiping on camera with pals Selena Gomez and Keleigh Teller at the Golden Globes, the pop superstar, 34, brought a prop to music’s biggest night to make sure her private conversations weren’t publicized.
The live broadcast showed Swift Sunday night strategically placing a black fan over her face as she whispered to collaborator Jack Antonoff while Miley Cyrus accepted the Grammy award for best pop solo performance for “Flowers.”

Another chimed in, “taylor swift whispering to jack antonoff through a black handheld fan oh the tiktok lip readers aren’t winning today #GRAMMYs.”
Others speculated that Swift’s fan was yet another easter egg that the music icon will be announcing her version of the “Reputation” album soon.
“ITS THE FAN FROM [‘Look What You Made Me Do’ video] AND OMG,” an eagle-eyed Swiftie tweeted.
Those who believed the accessory was more for privacy purposes, though, may be on to something.
In January, the internet was sent into a frenzy when Gomez, 31, approached Swift and Teller, also 31, at the Golden Globes for an animated conversation, in which the “Single Soon” singer appeared peeved.
A lip reader told Page Six at the time that Gomez was allegedly chatting about Timothée Chalamet.
Jeremy Freeman claimed the “Only Murders in the Building” star was telling her girlfriends, “He didn’t want a picture with me. He said no.”
Chalamet, 28, had attended the film and TV awards show with girlfriend Kylie Jenner, who has been known to have a strenuous relationship with Gomez in the past.
However, a paparazzo caught up with the “Wonka” star shortly after and he denied that the “Kardashians” star had any issues with the “Lose You to Love” me songstress.
When asked whether he is still “cool” with Gomez, with whom he starred in the 2019 rom-com “A Rainy Day in New York,” Chalamet responded at the time, “Yeah, of course.”
Gomez then took to social media to dispel the rumors once and for all, revealing the juicy details she was really sharing with Swift and Teller.

“I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up,” the former Disney star commented on an Instagram post from E! News. “Not that that’s anyone business.”
Gomez is not at the Grammys 2024, but it appears that Swift still doesn’t want to take any chances.
The “Cruel Summer” singer is nominated for best pop vocal album for “Midnights,” best pop solo performance, song of the year and record of the year for “Anti-Hero,” and best pop duo/group performance for her and Ice Spice’s remix of “Karma.”
If Swift wins album of the year, she will make history as the first artist to win the honor four times.
