‘Today’ show’s Jill Martin cries while shopping for wigs after losing hair during chemo

Jill Martin broke down in tears while shopping for wigs amid her ongoing breast cancer battle.

The “Today” contributor got candid about losing her hair during chemotherapy in an emotional Instagram Story clip Wednesday.

“It’s really hard and strange,” she said in a voice-over while showing off a row of wigs. “But I’ll make believe I’m playing dress-up.”

Martin, 47, attempted to stay optimistic while choosing new hair, adding “Maybe I’ll be a brunette.”

She then revealed herself in a blond wig — similar to her natural hair.

“This looks just like me, right?” the TV personality continued as tears welled up in her eyes.

“It’s hard. But . . . I feel like I could style it,” she said while playing around with the strands. “It’s fun. It’s like playing dress-up. I’m dressing up as myself.”

Martin treated herself to a self-care day as she later went to get her eyelashes done after losing hers a few weeks after chemo.

“I’m going to get eyelashes now,” she said. “Sort of like an ambush makeover on myself.”

A few hours later, the “Steals and Deals” segment host showed off her lashes, adding there wasn’t “a lot there” for the esthetician to attach the falsies to.

She appeared to be happy with her purchases as she shared a video of herself glammed up in a blond wig and a face full of makeup.

Martin, who was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer earlier this year, bought a wig after attempting to preserve her golden locks amid her chemo treatments by using the cold capping method in October.

She’s been candid about her journey on social media and revealed she underwent a double mastectomy over the summer.

After the surgery, Martin was told by her oncologist that she would have to do chemo to “help ensure that” she was cancer-free.

“I will also need to take anti-hormonal drugs for 5 years. And I will most likely need chemotherapy because of the aggressiveness of the tumor,” she wrote in a “Today” essay published in August.

Martin will also have to undergo a hysterectomy in the future to lessen the chances of ovarian cancer.

The broadcaster announced her diagnosis in July after testing positive for the BRCA gene.

“Of course I’m devastated. You hear the C-word and you think the worst,” she told People at the time. “But after you hear the word and you absorb it, you then have to be your own best friend.”
