Tommy Lee sued for allegedly sexually assaulting woman in helicopter after ‘snorting cocaine’ in 2003

Rocker Tommy Lee is being accused of sexually assaulting a woman in the cockpit of a helicopter 20 years ago.

The accuser, identified only as Jane Doe in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Friday and obtained by Rolling Stone, claims the Mötley Crüe drummer was “forcibly groping, kissing and penetrating her with his fingers, and attempting to force her to perform oral copulation” during a 40-minute flight from San Diego County to Van Nuys, Calif., in February 2003.

The unnamed woman reportedly claims she was invited onto the chopper by pilot David Martz, with whom she had struck a friendly relationship since he was a patron at her bank.

“Within a matter of minutes of being airborne, Martz pulled out alcohol he had stored in the helicopter and began to mix drinks,” she alleges in the complaint, per Rolling Stone.

Doe reportedly claims that both the pilot and Lee drank alcohol, smoked marijuana and snorted cocaine during the flight, but she allegedly did not consume the booze that was offered to her.

At one point, Martz allegedly invited her up to the cockpit, where Lee allegedly began to sexually assault her, becoming even “more forceful” when she tried to pull away, per the complaint.

“At one point, Lee penetrated plaintiff with his fingers while fondling her breasts,” the lawsuit reportedly states, per Rolling Stone.

“Lee then pulled down his pants and attempted to force plaintiff’s head toward his genitals. By this point, plaintiff was in tears, but she had nowhere to go — she was trapped with little mobility to leave the cockpit.”

The woman is suing for gender violence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence, as she claims the alleged incident has left her with “great shock, distress, humiliation, shame and guilt.”

The accuser is reportedly seeking past, present, and future damages, including medical expenses, loss of earnings and earnings capacity.

Per Rolling Stone, the woman also alleges in her suit that she decided to come forward now because she believed that Martz, who died in an aviation accident in 2015, had a history of illegal behavior.

According to the Associated Press, he was detained for a DUI in 2009 and reportedly also had a long list of disciplinary issues that led him to losing his pilot’s license at least three times, per the LA Times.
