Travis Kelce’s dad is rooting for his son’s “Love Story” with Taylor Swift.
“I think they’re a wonderful couple,” Ed Kelce told Entertainment Tonight Wednesday of his son’s blossoming romance with the global superstar.
“I think they deserve a great friendship with each other, and if it ever goes to more than that.”
“They’re two wonderful people and they are enjoying each other’s company and supporting each other,” he added.
He also sang praises about the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker.
“I think she’s very genuine,” he noted. “She’s been performing for huge crowds longer than she hasn’t, over half her life. And for someone to be so grounded.”
Swift, 33, and Travis, 34, confirmed romance rumors when the former arrived at the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 24.
She has since cheered for the famous tight end during several of his games alongside his friends and family, including his beloved NFL mom, Donna Kelce, who already gave Swift her stamp of approval.
Ed went on to hypothesize why the unlikely romance might be an “End Game” move.
“I think they are two very, very driven professional individuals,” he explained to ET. “I think they’re very supportive of each other, which is key.”
“This is a rough time for either one of them to have a relationship. She’s in the middle of this ginormous tour, he’s knee deep [in the NFL season],” he further noted.
“She’s very committed to [her tour] and I think Travis supports that,” Ed continued.
“And I think she realizes how committed Travis is to sleep, 10 hours a day, when your body is going through this kind of thing. So I think they’re both very supportive.”
Ed — who met the 12-time Grammy winner at the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Denver Broncos Oct. 12 — also opened up this week about how she impressed him.
“We’re sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around,” he told People Monday.

“And I’m just thinking, I don’t think she got the diva memo. She didn’t [become a] spoiled musician,” he said.
“She doesn’t know how to pull that off. And that really — to me — said a whole lot.”
Swift has also gained the approval of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, and his mother, Randi Mahomes.
Brittany and the “Speak Now” songstress have grown super close, even debuting a celebratory handshake at Sunday’s Chiefs vs. Chargers matchup.
Meanwhile, Randi has shared several pictures with Swift and complimented her for being “sweet” to Patrick’s 12-year-old sister, Mia.
And Travis, of course, is absolutely smitten with Swift, even confirming this week that he feels he must be “doing something right” to have so many people important to him approve of their romance.
