‘Very sad’ Ione Skye reveals final texts with Matthew Perry days before his death

Matthew Perry had a touching final text exchange with Ione Skye just days before his death.

The actress posted screenshots of their messages via Instagram Sunday alongside a throwback photo of herself smiling with an arm around the late “Friends” star.

“I’m very very sad,” Skye, who starred in “A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon” with Perry in 1988, captioned the slideshow. “Loved this guy.”

Perry, 54, kicked off the conversation on Oct. 15 by writing, “Hi! I hope all is well. I was meditating ( I meditate now) and ‘ In You [sic] Eyes ’ started playing. And I instantly thought of how beautiful you are.”

Notably, the song is featured in one of Skye’s best-known movies, “Say Anything.”

Skye’s social media followers gushed over her “parting gift” from Perry in the comments section.

“this is so sweet wow. I’m glad you had this little beautiful exchange,” one user wrote, while another added that the texts showed a “deep connection” between the two.

“That’s really wild that he’d just reached out to you bc he heard the song from your movie,” a third noted. “That seems very meant to be.”

Skye is one of many of Perry’s former co-stars to honor the Emmy nominee with a social media statement since his shocking death on Saturday.

Hank Azaria credited the “Go On” star with helping him get sober in an Instagram video, while Maggie Wheeler expressed how “blessed” she feels by “every creative moment” they shared.

“Friends” stars David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc, however, have yet to speak out — but a source told Page Six on Sunday that they are preparing a joint statement.

The Golden Globe nominee’s cause of death is currently “deferred” due to pending toxicology results despite his autopsy report being completed over the weekend.

TMZ previously reported that there wasn’t sign of foul play at Perry’s Los Angeles home, where he was found unresponsive in his jacuzzi.

The sitcom star shared his last Instagram post from the hot tub last week, writing, “Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman.”
