Whitney Port enjoys lunch date with son amid health concerns

Whitney Port was spotted having lunch with her son after admitting that she’s “working” on her relationship with food.

The “Hills” alum was photographed sharing tacos and ice cream with her 6-year-old son Sonny at Henry Tacos in Los Angeles Thursday.

For the mother-son outing, the former MTV reality star, 38, wore a Pomodoro Buccatino’s crewneck sweatshirt from her merch line, along with baggy jeans and black sunglasses.

The lunch date comes after Port revealed that she was seeking help for her eating habits after her husband, Tim Rosenman, voiced his “concern” over her “unhealthy” appearance.

In Tuesday’s episode of her “With Whit” podcast, she attributed her weight loss to “laziness and pickiness,” explaining that she will “just go hungry” because she doesn’t “care.”

“I think, though, that is a type of disordered eating,” she said. “That’s not OK, that’s not healthy. I’m obviously not giving my body the nutrients it needs.”

Additionally, the “City” star shared that a close friend had given her the contact information for “an awesome nutritionist/eating disorder specialist.”

“I’m going to talk to someone and figure it out and figure out what I like and make sure that I’m making that a priority,” Port said.

The fashion designer initially addressed her weight in a July post on her Instagram Story after her husband “brought it to [her] attention, as a good husband should.”

“I had to think about it and try to figure out what has been happening because it’s not something I’m consciously thinking about,” Port wrote at the time.

However, she said “it hit” her when she stepped on the scale and realized she had been setting an “unhealthy example.”

She continued, “I eat to live, not the other way around. … I always feel hungry, but I just don’t know what to eat. It’s not how I want to look or feel though.”

Port considered herself “too lazy to make feeding [herself] a priority,” adding, “I’m too picky when it comes to taste and quality. Both are unacceptable.”

The “True Whit: Designing a Life of Style, Beauty, and Fun” author has opened up about her eating habits before.

In 2010, she told OK! Magazine (via Daily Mail) that she “monitor[ed]” what she ate and, at one point in her life, consumed 1,000 calories a day.

“[That’s] as bad as it has ever gotten,” she said at the time. “It’s hard to have that balance of wanting to look good but stay healthy. It’s a push [and] pull.”

Port shocked fans with a surprising confession years later.

Before a trip to Italy in 2018, Port confessed that she had never eaten pasta.

“I think I’m going to actually try pasta there. I feel like I have to, right?” she told She Knows at the time.

Port — who has been married to Rosenman since November 2015 — has suffered multiple miscarriages in recent years while trying to expand their family.
