From funnyman to family man!
Will Ferrell is more than just a comedian, as the actor is also the doting dad to three sons with his wife, Viveca Paulin.
The couple have been married since 2000, five years after they met at an acting class.
Since becoming parents to Magnus, Mattias and Axel, Ferrell told People that life with their three boys is similar to “running a prison” with “so much chaos.”
The “Elf” star clarified in 2015 that he isn’t “funny” at home, explaining, “You end up barking out orders like, ‘Upstairs now!’ ‘Brush teeth!’ ‘Lights out!’”

Magnus Paulin Ferrell
Viveca gave birth to the couple’s first child, a baby boy named Magnus, in March 2004.
The little one became interested in music at a young age, telling Vinyl Record in January 2023 that he “started writing music [at] 12 and did Jazz piano through middle and high school.”
Magnus, who mentioned that he is bilingual and speaks his mom’s native Swedish, continued his musical interests while attending the University of Southern California.
When the teen performed his first live show in December 2022, Will played the cowbell in honor of his iconic “Saturday Night Live” sketch from 2000.
Magnus promotes his songs via Instagram.
He previously used social media in 2017 to connect with Mark Wahlberg’s daughter Ella, which led Will to assure his “Daddy’s Home” co-star that his eldest child is a “good boy.”
Mattias Paulin Ferrell
In December 2006, Magnus became a big brother when son Mattias was born.
While Will and Viveca keep their kids’ lives under wraps, the couple did reveal their second child’s sports interests in 2015 when they spoke about coaching his AYSO soccer team together.

Axel Paulin Farrell
Axel joined the family in January 2010 and has since been spotted at sporting events and red carpets.
With three sons at home, “all parenting rules go completely out the window,” Will told Jennifer Aniston in a 2020 interview. “You go from, like, conflict resolution to … ‘Why? Because I said so!’
“You become your parents,” he continued. “It’s like running a small correctional facility.”
