Will Smith surprises Jada Pinkett Smith onstage, calls ‘tumultuous’ relationship ‘brutal and beautiful’

Will Smith surprised his estranged wife Jada Pinkett Smith onstage in Baltimore Wednesday night to declare his love for her.

“I just really wanted to come out and just be here and hold it down for you the way you have held it down for me,” the Oscar winner told her during his appearance at the Enoch Pratt Free Library.

“We have had a very, very long and tumultuous [relationship]. We call it ‘brutiful.’ It was brutal and beautiful at the same time,” he said, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Stunned, Jada — who was her Baltimore School for the Arts alma mater to promote her memoir “Worthy” — couldn’t help but show emotion as she covered her mouth with one hand while her estranged husband made the remarks.

The pair were joined by their children Jaden, 25, and Willow, 22, as well as Jada’s mom, Adrienne Banfield Norris, who celebrated her 70th birthday.

Will’s 30-year-old son Trey Smith, whom he shares with ex-wife Sheree Zampino, also joined the family.

Elsewhere, Will Smith said that the couple’s rocky union has been a “sloppy public experiment in unconditional love,” according to the Baltimore Banner.

“As I stand here before you today, I am happier than I’ve ever been in my entire life,” he shared. “I have achieved every single thing I have ever wanted in my entire life.”

“There is not one thing left that I desire in this world — all of the awards, all of the money, the family — everything I’ve ever dreamed,” he added.

The “I Am Legend” actor thanked Jada for supporting his career and family, saying his dreams were “largely built on the foundation of Jada’s sacrifices.”

He also thanked the mom of two for raising Willow and Jaden, as well as her stepson Trey.

“Can you show up and love somebody for the rest of your life, even when you don’t agree with them?” Will said. “Jada is the best friend I have ever had on this planet and I am going to show up for her and support her for the rest of my life.”

Jada then called Will “babe” as he ended his speech.

The “Girls Trip” actress, 52, last week revealed that she and the Oscar winner have been separated since 2016 — and even live apart.

During Wednesday’s talk, Jada addressed where the couple stand as they continue to “heal the relationship.”

“Will and me are good,” she told the audience. “All the people who don’t understand and got something to say are just going to have to fall in line.”
