A naturopathic doctor has revealed her top three tips for better bowel movements while showing what a healthy poop should look like.

The content creator, who uses the handle @j9naturally, went viral this month after she shared some common poop shapes and what they mean about your health.

Bowring first held up a large light brown log, explaining: ‘If your poop looks like this, that is a healthy poop.’

‘If it’s an S-shaped dark sinker, also a healthy poop,’ she continued.

Bowring then grabbed a small round ball of poop, saying little balls or pellets are a sign of ‘severe constipation.’

‘If it’s a lighter colored poop and it’s floating, that could indicate you’ve got some liver and gallbladder issues that need to be addressed,’ she added.

As a naturopathic doctor, Bowring is focused on addressing the root cause of a health issue rather than just treating the symptoms.

For those suffering from constipation, she recommended trying an ileocecal valve massage to ‘help get things moving.’

In a previous video, she explained that the ileocecal valve is where the small intestine joins the large intestine.

Bowring said the valve can be located between the highest point on your right hip bone and your belly button.

She demonstrated how she uses her fingers to massage little circles in the area, noting that it’s normal to feel some ‘gurgling.’

The expert then did a ‘C’ shaped massage toward her belly button before moving her hands to the left side of her stomach, one inch below her belly button. She pushed from left to right, toward her ileocecal valve.

The final step was to massage up from the valve toward her right shoulder. She did each move 10 times.

Bowring’s next tip was to increase the amount of fiber in your diet.

‘Adults should be getting at least 25 to 30 grams of fiber daily,’ she noted.

She concluded that you should also consider taking a turmeric supplement, especially if you have light-colored poop that floats.

The wellness guru said that curcumin — an active compound in turmeric â€”  can help with liver and gallbladder function.

Many people were admittedly caught off guard by her visuals and wished they had received a warning before they watched.

‘I didn’t need a visual demonstration,’ one person griped.

‘I’M EATING PLEASE,’ another added.

‘Good thing I wasn’t eating… no warnings or something…,’ someone else responded.

Others wanted to know more about the other poop colors and shapes.

‘Ok what about [the] monster on the plate closest to you bc we need an explanation there,’ one viewer commented.

‘Ain’t nobody going to talk about the monster black one just sitting there????’ someone else agreed.

‘I need more examples. My poops look nothing like those!!!’ another shared.
