The Kivin method is the new oral sex move that ‘blows womens’ brains out’ – sex therapist explains how to do it safely

A new, unconventional technique of performing oral sex on a woman has been hailed a ‘foolproof’ way to achieve female orgasm by TikTok users. 

The move, which has been coined ‘The Kivin Method’ by young people on social media, involves the giver positioning themselves by their partner’s genitals side-on.

This is said to stimulate a greater surface area, intensifying the female orgasm.

On TikTok, women and sex therapists have hailed the method the, ‘best way, the most foolproof way to give oral sex’ and ‘the most important piece of sex ed you’ll ever need’.

One woman picks up a pen and paper to draw a diagram, explaining to men everywhere exactly how to position themselves to make a woman’s ‘finishing act more powerful’.

The sex trend has also received attention from popular wellness outlets, including Kourtney Kardashian’s health and beauty website Poosh.

In a recent column on the site, certified sex therapist Dr Aliyah Moore wrote that the Kivin Method is: ‘Intended to offer a novel feeling with extra intensity through its unorthodox angle of stimulating the clitoris. 

‘Using this approach, people can increase the number of sensations and possibly make each sexual act more diverse and exciting.’ 

She explains that the Kivin Method has the giver lie perpendicular to the receiver with one of her legs draped over her partner’s back. 

The giver then approaches the female genitals with an angle of about 45 degrees across the vulva. 

Many women who have added this move to their bedroom activities have said it helped them reach climax in minutes, while enhancing the strength of their orgasms.

TikTok users are singing the praises of the Kivin method of oral sex – which involves approaching a woman’s genitals side-on. 

On Reddit, users take to forums to share their experiences of the method. 

One wrote: ‘Doing it from the side makes SO much sense, for both parties.’

Another fan said: ‘Having someone between my legs is very awkward for me, so I love this position and make sure every guy I’m with is well-practiced in it.’ Others simply say the results are ‘mind-blowing’.

But the key to any sexual technique’s success is comfort, and the leg positioning is uncomfortable for some.

Partners have complained online that the weight of a woman’s leg on their back is uncomfortable.

In this case, sex therapists say women can wedge pillows under their hips to lift their pelvis, giving their partners fuller access to the area without having to bear the weight of the receiver’s leg.

While the move has many dedicated followers, sex therapists say that an orgasm is never guaranteed. Not all women who try the Kivin Method will experience the orgasm-to-end-all-orgasms.

Dr Moore wrote: ‘Some people might find the diagonal method unusual since it presents a new angle of stimulation. 

‘It should be noted that feeling is highly subjective. This may be very exciting and satisfying to some people, while others may not feel any remarkable variations from the regular oral sex techniques.’

A 2018 survey of 1,400 women, published in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior, found only 30-40 per cent reach orgasm during sexual intercourse. 

Dr Moore added: ‘Patience is also a crucial element when it comes to enhancing your intimate experiences. Instead of rushing, it’s essential to invest time and effort in cultivating anticipation and desire.
