Brest vs PSG – Ligue 1: TV channel, team news, lineups and prediction

Having enjoyed their Champions League win in midweek, Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to move to the top of the Ligue 1 table with a win over Brest on Sunday.

The current champions are in third place heading into Matchday 10, two points behind Monaco at the summit. They’ll need to beat Brest and hope their rivals drop points in order to reach top spot, but PSG‘s form has shown improvement in recent weeks.

They cruised past AC Milan with a 3-0 win on Wednesday night in the Champions League and have won three of their last four Ligue 1 matches, with Luis Enrique hopeful his side have turned a corner.

Here’s all you need to know about Brest vs PSG in Ligue 1 this weekend.

Brest have enjoyed a superb start to the Ligue 1 season and are fifth coming into this clash with PSG. They have largely been helped by a lack of injuries and suspensions.

Eric Roy will have a full squad to choose from, meaning ex-Inter striker Martin Satriano is expected to lead the line once again with Pierre Lees-Melou behind him providing creativity.

Brest predicted lineup vs Paris Saint-Germain (4-2-3-1): Bizot; Lala, Chardonnet, Dari, Locko; Magnetti, Martin; Del Castillo, Lees-Melou, Le Douaron; Satriano.

Despite PSG’s recent upturn in form, they still have a number of good players out injured, as has been the case all season. Sergio Rico is still recovering from his incident, but Presnel Kimpembe is back in training and could make a return.

Nuno Mendes, Marco Asensio and Keylor Navas will all play no part here. Manager Enrique may keep largely the same XI against Brest as he fielded against Milan, given how routine the victory was.

Paris Saint-Germain predicted lineup vs Brest (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Skriniar, Hernandez; Zaire-Emery, Ugarte, Vitinha; Kang-in, Kolo Muani, Mbappe.

Brest have enjoyed a great start to the season but there is little belief they will still be challenging for European qualification later in the season, while PSG seem to have found their feet in recent weeks.

Kylian Mbappe is scoring goals, Randal Kolo Muani is off the mark and their midfield is now looking extremely strong. There are still weaknesses but PSG should have more than enough to beat Brest on Sunday, even away from home.

Prediction: Brest 1-3 PSG
