Cadiz vs Real Madrid – La Liga: TV channel, team news, lineups and prediction

Real Madrid travel south to take on Cadiz on Sunday in the knowledge they could end the weekend at the top of La Liga with victory.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side trail shock league leaders Girona but boast a two-point lead over Barcelona. Los Blancos do, however, have a lot of players out injured and the situation only got worse during the November international break.

As for Cadiz, they look set to be a relegation candidate this season, sitting only three points above the drop zone after 13 games.

Here’s all you need to know about Cadiz vs Real Madrid in La Liga this weekend.

There are a few selection doubts for Cadiz to contend with as they welcome Madrid. Luis Hernandez and Federico San Emeterio are both doubtful and the coach would certainly love to have them back at his disposal. Fali and Bryan Ocampo are both injured and will play no part here.

Cadiz only narrowly lost to Getafe before the break so Sergio Gonzalez may well use a similar team.

Cadiz predicted lineup vs Real Madrid (4-4-2): Ledesma; Carcelen, Hernandez, Chust, Pires; Navarro, Alcaraz, Kouame, Machis; Marti, Ramos.

The international break was a real stinker for Madrid, with Eduardo Camavinga and Vinicius Junior both picking up serious injuries with France and Brazil respectively. Joining that pair on the sidelines are long-term absentees Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao and Arda Guler.

Aurelien Tchouameni and Kepa Arrizabalaga are also sidelined which causes further issues in midfield and in goal, but Jude Bellingham is training again after missing England duty and should start. Dani Ceballos is back in training and may feature.

Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Cadiz (4-3-1-2): Lunin; Carvajal, Alaba, Rudiger, Mendy; Valverde, Kroos, Modric; Bellingham; Rodrygo, Joselu

Even considering the depth and quality in the Madrid squad, Carlo Ancelotti has a genuine injury crisis on his hands. That being said, Cadiz are not the sort of opponent likely to take advantage of it.

There will still be some incredible players available for Madrid and crucially Bellingham, who seems able to win any game by himself, should be fit to feature. It may not be vintage, but expect three points for Madrid in southern Spain.

Prediction: Cadiz 0-2 Real Madrid
