FC Copenhagen vs Man Utd – Champions League: TV channel, team news, lineups & prediction

Manchester United head to the Danish capital in the Champions League this week looking to nurture some momentum off the back of a welcome late win over Fulham on Saturday.

It took a 91st minute winner from Bruno Fernandes at Craven Cottage to ease the growing pressure on United following back-to-back 3-0 home defeats to Manchester City and Newcastle.

The reverse fixture of this week’s FC Copenhagen clash played last month has yielded United’s only European victory of the season so far, having earlier suffered losses to Bayern Munich and Galatasaray. Andre Onana played a massive role by saving a late penalty.

Erik ten Hag’s team are still up against it when it comes to reaching the Champions League knockout stages, but victory in Denmark would be a huge boost if they can get it.

Copenhagen boss Jacob Neestrup is missing four players through injury from this game – Mohamed Elyounoussi, Davit Khocholava, William Clem and Birger Meling.

Copenhagen predicted lineup (4-3-3): Grabara; Ankersen, Vavro, Diks, Jelert; Lerager, Falk, Claesson; Larsson, Cornelius, Achouri

Marcus Rashford missed the win over Fulham with a knock and, although he could return here, is a doubt for the time being. Casemiro heads a lengthy injury list of Ten Hag, with Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Amad Diallo all still sidelined.

Jadon Sancho remains unavailable as a result of internal disciplinary action.

Man Utd predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Reguilon; Amrabat, McTominay; Antony, Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund

Since Copenhagen were beaten at Old Trafford last month, the Danish champions have won three straight games in their domestic Superliga.

Facing a team in good form on their own turf will make it difficult for a vulnerable Manchester United, although Ten Hag will hope that a Premier League win at the weekend was a step in the right direction.

Even after losing their opening two group games, United are definitely not out of the running to reach the knockout stages and would finish matchday four in second place if they can get a win in this game and Bayern Munich do them a favour by beating Galatasaray in Germany.

Prediction: Copenhagen 1-2 Man Utd
