There have been plenty of big movers in the FPL transfer market this week with forwards in particular going under the radar.

Early popular picks Joao Pedro and Darwin Nunez were both benched last time out, with managers now scrapping to figure out the best strikers to partner the vastly-owned Erling Haaland up front. So, who are the top buys?

Here we pick out the top selections in conjunction with Fantasy Football Hub’s powerful AI Points Predictions tool.

Nicolas Jackson

Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson has attracted over 250,000 incoming transfers this week ahead of a promising run of fixtures for the Blues. They face promoted sides Luton and Burnley in their next six as well as Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Fulham.

Jackson is still searching for his first Chelsea goal but it’s not through a lack of trying, with six shots and three big chances. He’s getting plenty of opportunities and could even be given spot-kick duty after Enzo Fernandez missed one in the previous game.

Ollie Watkins

Ollie Watkins owners were left frustrated when he was taken off penalties in favour of Douglas Luiz in Gameweek 2, having missed from the spot in pre-season. He now has two assists to start the season with, though.

Watkins dispatched a hat-trick in Villa’s Europa Conference League qualifier this week which will give him a big confidence boost going into a trip to Burnley. The Clarets conceded three goals to Manchester City in their only fixture so far this season.

Bryan Mbeumo, Yoane Wissa

Brentford’s Yoane Wissa is the most transferred in forward this week with 600,000 new owners, having delivered two goals and an assist in the opening games for the Bees. Brentford entertain Crystal Palace this weekend after scoring five goals in their first two games.

Wissa’s underlying numbers are very encouraging too, leading the way for shots with ten and second for shots on target with five. The only downside is that he’s been substituted before 80 minutes in both of his fixtures to date.
